About SkiStats

SkiStats is a platform designed to help skiers and stats nerds explore ski resorts across the U.S. through clean visualizations and sortable data.

Data Sources

The resort data is compiled from public sources including the Storm Skiing Journal, SkiResort.info, Onthesnow.com, and resort websites. The most useful resource has been the Storm Skiing Journal's Pass Tracker 5001, which already has the majority of the needed data compiled in a single spreadsheet.

Notes on data:

  • All prices are for a 2024-2025 adult weekend day pass, which is usually the highest price possible
  • Most values for slope length, acreage, and snowfall are from the ski areas themselves, and these areas tend to inflate their numbers. So take the values for these columns with a grain of salt.
